DSS Arrests PDP Senator, Abaribe Over Bail Bond For IPOB Leader Kanu

Lawmaker representing Abia South in the Senate, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe has just been arrested by men of the Department of State Service.

 

It was learnt from a source close to the lawmaker that he was picked this afternoon in Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja over issue relating to the bail bond he signed for leader of the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

Recall that the senator late last year, asked the Federal High Court in Abuja to revoke the undertaken he took on behalf of Nnamdi Kanu.

He later appealed to the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to discharge him as Kanu’s surety as he has not seen nor heard from Kanu since September 11, 2017.

“This kind of meeting is to give room for contributions as well as ensure fairness and equity in the conduct of the 2018/2019 admission process. “We are expecting in attendance all heads of tertiary institutions across the country. “We shall be convening this meeting, for the first time, in the South-West, Osun precisely. “All the South-West governors have been invited coupled with other critical stakeholders. “To ensure that there is no misrepresentation of facts or information, there will be a live coverage of the meeting on NTA from 11:30a.m. to 1:30p.m, so that Nigerians can follow the proceedings,” he said.
