Court remands four for stealing N100 million properties of Dame Patience Jonathan

A State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has remanded in custody four suspects for allegedly breaking into the house of former First Lady, Patience Jonathan and stealing valuables worth N100 million(One hundred million naira).

The four suspects who pleaded not guilty when the charges of stealing, breaking and Entry, attempted murder and others were read against them include:

Praise Gelson, Tamunoala Alatoru, Usman Garba, and Christian Mbaeri.

The presiding Judge, Justice Adolphus Enebeli, after listening to lawyers in the matter did not grant the bail application but promised to speed up the hearing. 

According to the charges, the incident happened on September 21, 2022.

Our correspondent reports that the Judge later adjourned the case to November 4,6,8, and 18.
