Breaking News: Seven persons gun down in Egbeda, Emohua LGA, Rivers state

– Three persons die at Garrison roundabout less than three weeks of opening
Less than four days after unknown gunmen killed not less than 17 people in Omoku,in Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni local government area of Rivers, not less than Seven persons have shot dead in Egbeda community by masked gunmen in Emohua local government in the early hours of today, Thursday.
Reasons for the random killing of the persons, including a lawyer recently called to Bar is yet to be known at press

-NEW Controversial Garrison Roundabout, Port Harcourt Claims three Lives less than three week after opening for use
Three people in a car were burnt beyond recognition in the early hours of today Thursday at Garrison Roundabout, Port Harcourt -Aba Expressway, Port Harcourt the Rivers capital after hitting the concrete slabs of the Garrison the controversial roundabout.
The controversial roundabout was opened to traffic about the first week of December last year.
It was not clear when the accident happened but out Report observed that there were still flicker of fire and smoke when he visited the scene at about 6.30 am today.
It would be recalled that the motorists and concerned road users in the state capital had criticised the construction roundabout as an Engineering misnomer of the ever busy junction rather than a Fly Over or a boulevard as is seen in other States and clime befitting a 21st Century Nigeria.
The Roundabout which has been helping traffic flow since the construction,it has not dwarfed the apprehension and public outcry.
However,the public outcry against the State Government who turned a deaf.
The project of the Wike led government in constructing roundabouts has earned him another title as “Mr. Roundabout” by people in the opposition party.
It is clear at the time of filling the report there is already heavy traffic build up being experienced now and the resultant deaths.
Scores of Policemen and officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, were already at the scene of the charred vehicle,while a corpse of unidentified person burnt beyond recognition was lying beside the vehicle.
It remained a miracle  how fire from burnt vehicle beside the Mobil Petrol Station in Garrison Junction did not consume the highly inflammable gas station.
At the time of this report concerned passersby motorists wore mournful look at thevm scene of the accident.
Three Police trooper vehicles and two FRSC were already at accident scene to ensure free flow of traffic at the time of filing the report.
