Breaking News: 17 Persons Killed in Omoku, Rivers State

17 persons have been killed in Omoku, Ogba / Egbema /Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State by a group of gunmen.
The assailants , who raided the town in the early hours of the New Year, are suspected to be lead by the Elder brother militant leader , Don Nwanee.
The State Police Command said it was aware of the development but details were still sketchy.
It was earlier reported that Nigeria Army recovers 10 human skulls from Don Wanny’s house and some of the items  recovered from the multi-million Naira palatial home  of wanted notorious militant leader Igwe dibia, known as Don Wanny.
In a statement released by Division six of the Nigeria Army some time past and obtained by Towncrier.ng, the statement said that Don Wanny was not at home when its troop and the Local security task force engaged in a gun battle with his boys in Aligwu.

The spokesperson Major Tiamiyu, said seven suspects including two females were arrested.
Various items including human skulls, arms and ammunition, life jackets, Wakie takie, among other things that were recovered during the joint raid were displayed.
In October last year, Don wanny and his boys publicly embraced the Rivers State Government Amnesty program. But the Nigeria Army  have consistently accused  Don wanny and his group of  perpetrating  series of  crimes in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers state.
