Unity Bank ‘humors’ Media Practitioners Over Alleged Financial Scandal

By: Adebayo Bisiriyu

Wednesday, the 30th of June 2021, the Management of Unity Bank Nigeria Plc organized a media parley to ‘humor’ media practitioners over financial scandals emanating from the bank.
The bank’s financial scandals are currently trending on both the social and terrestrial media and it is thought the parley was done to swept under the carpet the development in the bank.
However, a segment of the media not a part of the parley is said to be keeping tap on the issue and are set to bombard the internet with the details as soon as possible not minding the inducement given to media organizations that attended the parley held at the Event Centre opposite African Shrine, Alausa Ikeja, Lagos.

According to our Correspondent who was on ground, for reasons unknown, the parley commenced at 1pm as against the scheduled time of 10am.
Much as that, some top officials of the bank, especially those from the Communications and Media Department were on ground to address pressmen with the theme: “You know me, I know you”, which simply posit that if the Bank ‘takes care’ of the media, the media should reciprocate in like manner.
Contingent on the theme, the media is expected to kill any dirty story emanating from the bank and by members of its management or such that would tarnish the image of the bank.
Centrality in the parley was Mr. Ayo Aminu, Managing Director, ‘Strategic Effects’ who doubles as the anchorman of the event and the PR strategy of the bank.
Towncrier.ng is watching closely, the heels of the scandalous story which is about to be blown open. Stay close.
