Rivers State Civil Servants Get Revolving Loan Scheme

-Plus Small Scale Business Owners

The incumbent executive Governor of Rivers state Barrister Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike is out putting smiles upon the faces of Rivers state Civil servants and small scale business owners as he had rolled out revolving loan scheme for them. With the on-going economic hardship and clamour to increasing Workers’ Minimum wage/salary nationwide the Rivers state amiable governor popularly called N.E.W “MR PROJECT” on Wednesday 28th of March, 2018 announced to his weekly cabinet Meeting that his government has decided to establish a “Revolving Loan Scheme” for State Civil servants in the state.

 

The Commissioner for Information and Communications Barrister Emma Okah told state House based journalists that the Revolving Loan scheme is designed to cushion the effects of the economic hardship in the country and that it is strictly for Civil Servants who are actually in need of special financial assistance that will access the monetary facility as it comes without any collateral and charged interest free.

While at the end of Weekly executive Council Meeting on Wednesday 11th of April, 2018 Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike also discussed with his Cabinet members the need to take care of ordinary small scale business people who need little cash to invest in their businesses and it was approved that the sum of Two Hundred Million Naira N200m be set aside as Loan for Small Scale businesses owners who should have access to this Loan facilities. The aim is targeted at improving the welfare and income of majority of the downtrodden who engage in small scale investments.
