The plethora of Court judgments that is ravaging the Rivers state chapter of All Progressives Congress-APC is reaching crescendo with most recent Judgment that came on Wednesday 10th of October, 2018 from Port Harcourt High Court Judge, Justice Chikwendu Nworgu stating the perpetual sack of the Executives led by Ojukaye Flag Amachree who was elected on early morning of Monday 21st of May, 2018.
The learned Judge was displeased with the arrogant disobedience of the Order issued by the Court when the case brought by 23 aspiring Local Government Areas Delegates were denied purchase of Forms after payment of the prescribed Fees by the All Progressive Congress –APC in Rivers state with Davies Ibiamu Ikanya as Chairman hence they went to Port Harcourt High Court for redress which was presided by Justice Chikwendu Nworgu. In the court proceedings that followed several Injunctions were made by Justice Chikwendu Nworgu restaring the parties from taking further actions that may cause injury to the outcome of the Judgment which include retaining APC from holding Congresses in the 319 Wards, 23 Local Government Areas and State Congresses until the determination of the substantive case before it while asking the party to return to statusquo with Chief Davies ibiamu Ikanya as Chairman and Comrade Peter Odike’s his Deputy Chairman.
But Chief Ikanya somersaulted and tactically abdicated from his position leaving his deputy Comrade Peter Odike to assume the position of Acting Chairman for some time. It was culmination of the actions and inactions taken by chief Davies Ikanya and Comrade Peter Odike that now led to Ojukaye Flag Amachree who was not part of the suit but APC to have found himself in the struggle to control the affairs of the party in Rivers state and see to the emergence of Architect Tonye dele Cole as a governorship candidate favourable to the dictate of the leader of the party in the state Minister of Transportation Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
While still having Senator Magnus Ngei Abe being backed up by Comrade Peter Odike led authentic state Executives. Today there exist court cases at Appeal Court and Supreme Court of Nigeria over the struggle to have Distinguished Senator Magnus Ngei Abe not elected as Tonye Dele Cole will be foist on the party members as the Governorship candidate of the party in the 2019 Governorship election in Rivers state.
www.towncrier.ng obtained statements made by Ojukaye Flag Amachree after the Court Judgment by Justice Chikwendu Nworgu that sacked the Congresses held on 19th, 20th and 21st of May, 2018. Mr. Amachree said “ let me state with all authority and for the purpose of clarity that I remain the chairman of APC in Rivers state as I have not seen any judgment suggesting otherwise. What I know is that on September 4th, 2018 Justice A.O Musa of Abuja High Court 14, granted an Order of Perpetual Injunction , restraining any institution, the APC and its National Chairman Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, from tampering with or dissolving my executive of the party. It will only take an Appeal Court to upturn or set aside the injunction, not a court of coordinate institution”.
Having known the consequences of the Justice Nworgu’s Judgment Ojukaiye Flag Amachree told party loyalists “I therefore enjoin all APC members in Rivers state and party executives at the Wards, Local Government Areas and state levels to go about their normal party activities and remain calm, as I remain the Chairman of APC in Rivers state.”

APC Supporters loyal to Senator Magnus Abe are currently protesting and demanding that the National Secretariat of APC should comply with the high court judgment delivered by justice Chiwendu Nworgu, which nullifies Rivers APC Governorship Nomination, Rivers APC Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly Nominations.
