The Ikoroghi family of Omokwa Town in Abua Central, Abua/Odual Local Government Area of Rivers State has felicitated with the council chairman, Hon Vincent Reuben Obu and the councillor representing Ward three in the LGA legislative chambers, Hon Kiikpoye Israel on their electoral victories in the local government election in the State last October 5, 2024
The family, which gave the commendation during its end of year meeting held on Tuesday December 31, 2024 at Omokwa Town also thanked the state governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara for giving them the opportunity to serve the LGA and ward respectively. Even as it rejoiced with the governor over his numerous achievements so far recorded in his less than two years administration in the state.
Head of Ikoroghi family, Elder Sunny A. Oghu, while addressing members of the family present at the meeting, commended the council chairman for his plans to look into the deplorable road in Omokwa town and urged him to bring it into fruition. “I was happy to hear that he came to inspect the deplorable condition of the road during the Christmas and promised to do something immediately. We’ll be very happy to see it come to pass,” he said.
While advising the councillor, Hon Kiikpoye Israel to be very dutiful and to serve the people with humility and the fear of God, he also urged the council chairman to always carry our son along in the scheme of things in the LGA.
