…Calls For Calm From Political Detractors.
Afrontline business man and Chairman Rivers State Motor Dealers Association (RIVMDA), Chief Christian Okoli, has implored some aggrieved politicians to give peace a chance and allow Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara concentrate on the task to deliver dividend of democracy to the people of the state.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with the National forerunner in Port Harcourt, Chief Okoli, advised aggrieved political opponents of the governor to stop demarketing the state and give peace a chance for dialogue and settlement, so that the Governor can have a focus and consolidate on the mandate that he was elected.
” What is happening in the state is affecting every one and we are pleading to those distracting the Governor to give peace a chance and allow him perform as the one God has chosen to run the affairs of the state.” He said
He promised that his association will continue to support the governor by contributing their quote to ensure the he succeeds in areas where he needs their support.
” I can tell you that nothing works where there is absence of peace and harmony. We need the development of the state. I am calling on whoever that fills aggrieved to apply dialogue and allow the governor to be focus” he said.
The auto dealers, however called on all political actors on the matter to toed the path of dialogue By giving the governor the opportunity to run his administration so that people can make comparism and contrast at the end of his tenure.
Answering question on the issue of some member of his union that engaged in the buying of stolen vehicles? Chief Okoli, who is a knight responded thus: ” we totally frank aganist any act of criminality in our association. And any one found wanting, of course faces the music.” He warned.
