Gov Bagudu urges electorates in Kebbi to give Tinubu more votes than Lagos

Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu,CON has called on electorates in Kebbi State to give APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shatima more votes than his home state of Lagos.

“In 2019, Kebbi State gave President Muhammadu Buhari over 581,000 votes, while Lagos State gave him about 580,000 votes.

“That enviable feat should be replicated on Saturday and I humbly trust the people of Kebbi State that they will graciously do so,” he declared.

Bagudu spoke on Wednesday in Birnin Kebbi at the grand finale of the APC campaign rally .

The Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum said that electing Tinubu and Shettima would bolster the unity and socioeconomic prosperity of the country.

“That will help to attract more dividends of democracy to the North and Kebbi State in particular.

“The last seven and half years have been turbulent globally but Nigeria and Kebbi State has fared better.

“This was all courtesy of the APC-led Federal Government and Kebbi State which should be sustained by massively voting for the party’s candidates from top to bottom,Bagudu added.

He described Tinubu as a tested and trusted ally and friend of the North, urging that he should be trusted and rewarded.

Bagudu happily recalled Tinubu’s invaluable roles in the formation of APC in 2014 and the emergence of Buhari as a candidate as well as victories in 2015 and 2019.

He said that the duo of Tinubu and Shatima were workaholics and core patriots who would take Nigeria to greater heights.

Bagudu again admonished the people of Kebbi State to give Tinubu and Shatima massive votes, while cautioning against violence.

The Kebbi State Governor appealed to the people of the state to peacefully come out en masse and cast their votes for all APC candidates.

“After voting, we should all be patient and guard our votes. This is to ensure that our votes really count.

“BVAS have been enhanced, the efficiency and speed of the voting process have improved. We should be patient, peaceful and persevering throughout the process,”. Bagudu appealed.

He commended the APC Director General Campaign Council, Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari and members of the campaign council for a diligent job, just as he acknowledged the sustained support of the security and the media as well as the cross section of the people of the state.

The APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr Nasiru Idris, Kauran Gwandu said that the duo of Bagudu and his predecessor, Alhaji Sa’idu Dakingari had evenly transformed the state.

Dr. Nasir Idris also pledged to transform Birnin Kebbi to becoming a modern state capital .

He promised to consolidate on their achievements and surpass same feat, vowing to initiate more policies and programmes to further empower women, youths and other vulnerables.

Idris said that Kebbi State belonged to APC, saying, “we should confirm this with the landslide victories of all our candidates.”

He appealed to electorates in Kebbi to vote for Tinubu and all APC candidates with massive votes in Saturday’s election.

Dakingari, who concurred with Bagudu and Kauran Gwandu also described Idris as the best option for the people of the state.

The former Governor also urged the people of the state not to make the mistake that they will regret for the next four years.

The Birnin Kebbi local Government APC Chairman, Alhaji Sani Bello, the Deputy DG campaign Council, retired deputy comptroller general of Customs, Abubakar Gari Malam (Shatiman Gwandu , Alhaji Mansur Shehu, Alhaji Yusuf Haruna Rasheed, Special Adviser on Power, Hon Engr . Abdullahi Umar Muslim, Alhaji Abubakar Nayaya, Chairman of Local Government Service Commission and Alhaji Abubakar Chika Ladan thanked people of Birnin Kebbi for coming out in large numbers for the campaign.

They called on people to vote for APC from top to bottom in Saturday’s election.

Highlights of the event include open declaration in support of Kauran Gwandu and all APC candidates by Yoruba association and the association of non indigenes in Kebbi State.

A prominent PDP women leader in Kebbi State, Hajiya Yalli led hundreds of women to dump PDP and joined the ruling APC.
