Funke Adade, High-Flight Advert Executive of the Thisday Newspapers, Port Harcourt Bureau has earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations and Advertising from the International Institute of Journalism, IIJ.
The award was conferred on her in December, 2022 at the Amatu Braide Hall, University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Speaking at the convocation, the Coordinator, Dr. Greg Wale Williams, stated that Funke Adade was one of the few students that was dogged in her determination to complete the rigorous academic exercise, professionalism and work ethics required by the institute for a students to make it to the graduation point out of the lot that were admitted.
While congratulating her efforts, Dr. William said the institute have the confidence Funke Adade will be the shining light in her work role and service to the society.
Reliving her experiences during the course of study, the advert executive who has been in the employment of Thisday Newspapers for twenty-six years stated that much as the course was trying, she thanked God Almighty that she was able to complete the course with flying colors.
Funke Adade also reserved thanks for the leadership of Thisday Newspapers, Management and Staffs for their support and encouragement while hopping that the knowledge acquired will improve on her performance of duty and service delivery.
