Daniel Efe/Port Harcourt.

Director General of Wike Solidarity Movement, WSM, a foremost pro- Governor Wike/Peoples Democratic Party PDP group, Dr Prince Sudor Nwiyor has formerly dumped the party and joined the All Progressives Congress, APC.

He was received today by the Rivers All Progressives Congress, APC Governorship candidate, Pastor Tonye Cole and other another Chieftain of the party in the state, Dr Chukwudi Dimkpa.

Dr. Chukwudi Dimkpa was facilitator of the defection. Also present at his reception into APC is the party’s Khana Constituency 1 State Assembly Candidate, Barr Neeka Igbara.

Dr. Nwiyor, a Senior Lecturer at the Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic and current Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP in the Polytechnic, had on August 12th, 2022, announced his resignation from the PDP, promising to make known his next political destination.

Dr. Nwiyor, a former Deputy Director, (mobilization) for the 2019 Wike campaign council who was in the frontline to ensure the victory of Gov Wike in 2019, said his decision to exit the PDP is as a result of poor reward system in the party and the lack of even distribution of development across the state under Governor Nyesom Wike.

He thanked Chief Chukwudi Dimkpa for facilitating his movement to the APC, also said his decision to defect to the party is as a result of the sterling qualities in the APC gubernatorial standard bearer and his Deputy, Dr Innocent Barikor.

Nwiyor revealed that members of PDP in the state are tired and angry, and are ready to abandon the PDP because of the tribalistic nature of leadership of the party under Governor Wike. He boasted that in the coming days, he will formally collapse the entire structure of Wike Solidarity Movement across the state into the APC.

Shortly before he was received by Pastor Tonye Cole and Chief Chukwudi Dimkpa this afternoon in Port Harcourt, Prince Nwiyor had very early in the morning, gone to his ward 15 headquarters, Gwara to formally register his membership of the APC in his unit 21.

His registration was witnessed by the ward Chairman, Prince Felix Legbara a leader in the ward, Hon Stephen Deegbara and former leader of Khana legislative assembly, Hon Lekia Nwanikpo.
