Our Correspondent reports that off campus students of the University of Port Harcourt, UNIPORT, living in hotels Alakahia, Choba and other places raised alarm that Operatives suspected of the EFCC raided their apartments and whisked them away.
However, the Dean of Student Affairs, University of Port Harcourt, Chima Wokocha, said that the University will not be responsible for those people who have been arrested by the EFCC in recent weeks around Alakahia and Choba.
He called on students who are still living in private hostels in off campus to go home and stay with their families as the institution has closed due the strike by various unions of the University since February.
Mr Wokocha told Journalists that the University is not in session and every responsible student should be at home with their parents.
Mr Wokocha also said the EFCC should contact the school if they feel that those arrested are students of the school.
