President Muhammadu Buhari will pay an official visit to Lagos State tomorrow (Tuesday) to commission landmark projects.
The projects are the $2.5 billion fertilizer plant of the Dangote Industries in Ibeju Lekki and the new terminal of the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Ikeja.
The Dangote fertiliser plant is expected to bring a major reprieve to the struggling Nigerian economy.
According to projections, the plant is to develop a new capacity for Nigeria to save about $500 million annually from import substitution, while also recording inflow of $400 million from exports of fertilizer to other African countries.
The Dangote Industries also said between 4, 000 and 5, 000 direct and indirect jobs have so far been created in the cause of the construction of the complex while 500 permanent direct jobs and up to 5,000 indirect jobs are to be created as production kicks off.
On the other hand, the new terminal of the Murtala Muhammad International Airport is to greatly facilitate ease of movement in and out of the country.
