The cool war between Rivers state governor Nyesom Wike and the Chairman Rivers State Waste Management Authority, RIWAMA, headed by Bro. Felix Obuah, is now becoming strong sources of concern to many watchers particularly some politicians across the state.
The stage somehow seems to have been set when statements credited to the governor filtered out quoting the governor ‘that those having any political ambition can go ahead’ but what was particularly not clear was which aide and who the governor particularly mentioned even though some persons have alleged that the governor specifically mentioned the name of brother Felix Obuah, Emeka Woke the incumbent chief of staff and other prominent faces in the governor’s cabinet.
Now the new controversy around Rivers State and across, is the governor’s new year broadcast in which he openly said the state RIWAMA boss was not doing enough in the sanitation of the state despite huge funds put in the agency.
The governor maintained that there have been huge present of garbages across the state particularly in cities like Port Harcourt, Obio/Akpor, Eleme and others.
From the governors body language it appears that all may not be well as the nation gears up for elections in 2023, there is imminent cool war between the governor and his aide.
Towncrier investigation, revealed that Bro. Felix Obuah, who is former chairman and one of the prominent faces speculated for the covetous seat position come next year elections.
We learnt that so far, bro. Obuah, have started strong mobilization just like Wike did in 2015, when he was also struggling for the governorship seat.
