The Executive Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma today led the Ohaneze Ndigbo and South East APC stakeholders to an on the spot assessment of the Second Niger Bridge project being undertaken by Julius Berger Nig. Plc.
The governor was accompanied to the project tour by the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, Minister of State for Solid Minerals, Chief Uche Ogah, Anambra State APC Chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike, Ohaneze Ndigbo President, Amb. George Obiozor, Chief Azuka Okwuosa, Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo, Dr. Andy Uba, Sir Paul Chukwuma, Chief Emma Enukwu, Chief Chibuzor Obiakor and many other top APC stakeholders.
While conducting the entourage around the Onitsha end of the second Niger Bridge, a representative of Julius Berger revealed that the project is proceeding at a fast pace and that Julius Berger is on course to deliver the bridge project in 2022 as expected.
Govrnor Hope Uzodinma in his remarks thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for making sure this project never stopped. He expressed great optimism that the bridge will be ready by 2022 so that Igbos will know the difference between APC, which is a party that delivers infrastructure and the other parties that are known for abandoned projects.
He also thanked the new leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo led by Amb. George Obiozor for starting on a positive note with this inspection and stated that diplomacy and dialogue is the way for Ndigbo. According to him there’s nothing Ndigbo cannot get if only they follow diplomacy and dialogue. He then urged Ndigbo to embrace the All Progressives Congress and take advantage of the current membership registration and revalidation exercise to join the party.
