Wike, Deputy In Cold War?

BY CHARLES BERMERCIDE

River State Deputy Governor, Mrs. IPalibo Harry Banigo, perhaps may not be certainly in the best book of her boss Bar. Nyesom Wike, this is because of an alleged political cold war that we learnt may be between the state Governor and his deputy over what is currently happening in the state ahead of 2023.

The State Deputy governor, we gathered has not been spotted in any public function: giving the raising speculations that there is a cold war between the Governor and his deputy.

Mrs. Banigo, though very loyal, came through the civil service structure and was believed to have represented the governor on most juicy political functions, but as time passed, it thus appears such functions is now no longer in the control and supervision of Mrs. Banigo, going from what we have gathered is the cold war between her and her boss Nyesom Wike ,which in side sources said they are finding it difficult to speak at this point in time especially as members of the ruling People’s Democratic party, PDP at the state level to understand or explained.

Although, Mrs. Banigo for some times now has conspicuously been absent from the public scene with no one able to tell if how absent is as a result of the dread covid19 pandemic as reported by the World Health Organization.

Recalled that in May, 17, 2020 there has been several media reports alleging the sideling of the state Deputy Governor by a group called “Centre For Public Trust”
But in a statement issued by the media officer to the Deputy Governor, Owupele Benebo, in Port Harcourt, dismissed the state: saying “in as much as the office of the deputy governor would not want to join issues with the said group because comment is free, it is important to set the records straight so that right thinking members of the society would not be misled into believing this falsehood.
“According to john Adams “facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence”
“we would like to state categorically, that there is no iota of truth about governor wike’s alleged sidelining of his deputy, dr. Mrs. ipalibo harry banigo as regards covid-19 or indeed any programme or policy of the state government, she has continued to enjoy a cordial and robust relationship with the amiable and gender friendly governor of rivers state, chief barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, con, gssrs, pos Africa and the pride of rivers state, from the inception of this administration in may, 2015 to date, so the purported sideling of his deputy is a mere figment of the imagination of the group.
“Apparently, the group centre for public trust is not comfortable with the fact that the state chief executive, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and indeed all members of team are committed and working towards the actualization of the new rivers vision is this why they want to cause a rift between the governor and his deputy? When there is none? Please they should look elsewhere.

We gathered that since the outbreaks of Covid-19, the state deputy governor, have not been making any impressive appearance on issue or in the capacity of her office, but many are believing that as events unfold a lot may happen ahead of 2023.
